I live in a small village and have Virgin BB via a D-link. We dont get TV here only BB and landline. I'm paying £30 a mth for my BB and a phone I never use but have to pay the line rental for.
Is there anyway of getting this cheaper from another supplier or anything?:)

This is VM National (ADSL service) not VM cable service then?
As such, it's just a resold BT Wholesale product, and there are many cheaper providersNo free lunch, and no free laptop

That's what I though,t but everytime I ring another service they quote me more than VM already charges me never what it says on the comparison sites.
Im not great on the phone and have to really push myself to use one. So get very disheartened when I do it only to find out the £5 they say they charge suddenly goes up to £30 when I enquire about it

So why not do it online-that is where you'll get the best offers, plus any cashback site availability.
Does the samknows link offer you any LLU providers? They will be the cheapest. If not, look for a budget BT reseller such as Plusnet. Sounds like you are on a non-LLU exchange, so prices will invariably be higher.
But, either way, you'll have to pay line rental, as you can't have ADSL without a working landline.
If still unclear, post the name of your exchange and someone will check LLU availability for you.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hello
I am a TalkTalk customer, and I can't fault the "Simply Broadband" service if you really don't want to use a phone.
https://sales.talktalk.co.uk/product/broadband/simplybb
You can also pay line rental a year in advance
http://help2.talktalk.co.uk/value-line-rental-0
which saves a load more money
and each month you can get a 15% discount by paying your bill within 24 hours of being notified.0 -
TT is cheap, but has poor CS for that reason.
If you take TT then you need an LLU service or there is a heavy surcharge. No free lunch, and no free laptop

If money is the motivating factor, you can wait for a good deal to come along.
You should preserve the online statements by downloading them. When you start switching, you may not be able to log into the online account any more. This is in case the deal is conditional on switching away from Virgin Media.
You can get cashback by going through Quidco etc.
You can get up to £100 Sainsburys vouchers by switching to BT.0
