Can't leave it until August though !
Is this e7even, signing up for two years? Do you have to pay up front? Would prefer monthly as I've just booked a holiday!;)0 -
I look on Metronet as unlimited which starts at £10 and goes up by the amount you use up to a maximum then its the same price. The main advantage is you only pay for what you use, if you have a quiet month(holiday etc) the bill is lower. Also on a 3 month initial contract then 1 month. Payment of course is for the previous month each time. No modem but it does leave you to choose the best one not just the one they get a good deal on.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

They have seriously good support free via email (the best I have ever experienced)
it is 1MB uncapped, with free static ip address, plus free .uk domain name registration and hosting plus gaming and unlimited email addresses.
They are highly rated at the likes of net4nowt - where they come second only to Zen and beat all others.
All for £10 a month with a free modem thrown in too.

Hmm paying up front reminds me of the old dial up days where u paid about 60 quid for a year’s unlimited access. Redhotant ring any bells with anyone?
Personally it sounds like a big swiz to me your pay upfront for your access and about 6-8 months down the line maybe not even that there go bust due to lack of funds and your end up with nothing.
If you want my advice personally id stay well clear.0 -

Pay on a credit card and you will get some protection I believe.
I have been very happy with my experience of e7even and have extended for a further 6 months. To infinity and beyond!0 -
The credit card protection is not always available. Myself and others have checked and most dont cover this type of service (although there will be some that will, best check with card company first)0

I agree with Nex0, I don't agree with having to pay for the full service upfront and credit card companies are a pain to deal with when trying to resolve these things.
I have been trying to find a good, reliable, unlimited and reasonable broadband service for the past couple of months. Unfortunately having already waited for 9 weeks for one supplier to provide their services, I am now awaiting the MAC code to release me which is also turning into an unecessary wait!
I thought that the open market of broadband was supposed to provide more competitive services but I'm finding little evidence of this. It seems they all have a sting in the tail, whether it be caps on usuage, expensive customer services etc.
Having contacted OfCom with my complaints on the failings of my current service provider, I am not convinced that consumer interests are at the forefront of the suppliers and regulators.
Meanwhile I shall keep my eyes peeled and read the posts on the forum here with interest.0
