Return flight change - advice please.

Does anyone have any advice for changing the return travel date on a non-flexible ticket without too much extra expense?
I have just learned that I may be discharged early from hospital (in Russia) and want to change my flight home to the UK. Tickets booked with BA. I haven't asked them directly yet, in case there's a way of going about it that may have more success, that I don't know about.
Any hints or tips gratefully received!

Perhaps buy a new one? Easyjet has one ways for £80 including luggage next week.
Compare it to what BA can offer.0 -
Thanks, NiftyDigits - I will definitely compare new prices with other airlines with cost of changing date with BA.
I will need a business class seat really, because of post chemo very low immune system (will be masked, but trying to reduce contact with people)[0 -
Perhaps this is stating the obvious but if your ticket is truly non-flexible then it cannot be changed.0

Most BA tickets for Europe are changeable a lot of mid range fares can be changed for free.
I expect if there is a fee it will be approx £60 but if your booked class is not available now or you have a minimum stay requirement on your current fare that by coming back early you would have broken then it will need to be changed to a higher class.0 -

Don't remember the seating being that different. Hopefully you can purchase a front row seat.0 -
You should be able to review the fare rules for your ticket. Do you know the fare class?
I don't know the fare class - is there a way of finding out? I just booked a business class return LHR to DME - I have a booking reference and was going to access the seat booking system tomorrow (One week before I go - Bronze privilege) Will it say somewhere on that page, do you think?
Thanks for the help![0 -

Go to MMB on BA's website, then click your flight, then 'More flight information'. The selling class will be displayed. I believe the cheapest CE tickets are completely inflexible. Really, the simplest thing to do is call BA and ask about your options.0
