    Remove the 2 screws that secure the faceplate on the front of the lock.
    Once removed, look for a screw that is just above the bottom edge of the thumb turn, remove it. Now turn the slightly left and right whilst at the same time pulling it out. Once out, measure the lock from the end to the hole for the securing screw, then to the other end (do not include the thumb turn handle). Sterling are a cheap lock, places like Screwfix sell them. Buy yourself a better quality one and replace it.
