Just to update - popla code received, just dragging it all out for as long as possible, but will put popla appeal in shortly and advise of outcome in due course.
Wish I'd found these forums earlier as about 3 months ago my daughter got similarly nobbled in Toy'r'us Plymouth, but bank of Mum & Dad paid the fine(charge) - so I've got to win this one to even the score.

Appeal won at Popla - operator unable to produce adequate evidence of a contract between themselves and the landowner. More details in the "Popla decisions" sticky at start of forum.

@nicksss - well done, and thanks for coming back with your result. Keeps regulars motivated to help others.

Glass of something tonight, I suspect? :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hang on, not so fast. Did you write to Currys and what did they reply?

Yes, but to date, no reply.
Curry's have lost a customer - no big deal to me. I've got the result I wanted, and bought my tv and pc elsewhere.
I do not intend to try and get into further dialogue with a business that can't be bothered to respond in the first instace - I have other things to do.

Thanks. Well you made your point and, as you say, a business that tries to rip you off when you shop with them and then can't be bothered to respond to your complaint is just not worthy of your custom.
