KIFL & 4CR Save Motorists over £100,000 in Parking Charges

Of course you have not lost a POPLA appeal, winning an appeal there is like shooting fish in a barrel, and no-one has saved any money, in fact, each of your clients is at least £16 out of pocket.
You seem to think that a Popla win is the Holy Grail, it is not. Going to court, beating them, and counter claiming is what matters, the more they lose in court, the more the word will spread, both among the motoring public, and the Judiciary.
Whilst I am not knocking, and no doubt your service is probably the best option for some of the saps who come here, it is in fact helping the PPCs by boosting the number of allowed appeals. It is never going to bring down a single PPC.
Yes well, as some of you know I am broadly in agreement with The Deep over the infatuation with PoPLA. PoPLA is a creature of the private parking "industry" and its function is to support that industry by affording it an unwarranted veneer of respectability. He who sups with the devil should have a long spoon.

I see that the rival service is still "undergoing final development".Je suis Charlie.0

Since this service set up I have never been able to understand the negative response I have seen on this and other forums towards them. They have joined a multitude of groups on Facebook and offered free advice to people and have come in for a great deal of abuse. There service should be viewed as over and above what the forums are offering as a lot of the time the people using them are incapable of stringing together a coherent sentence or simply don't have the time to waste researching how to proceed. Lets be honest £100000 loss for the industry by 2 people is damn good going and this is over and above the free advice they continue to give. They do still run the risk that if POPLA changes it mind on GPEOL they might start losing a few but at the moment as far as I'm concerned keep up the good work.0

Until the law changes, POPLA is still the best way to beat the charges. At least for those who are savvy enough to use winning appeals. Courts, as we have seen in Cambridge, are a lottery who seem to invent new laws.
If sufficient people were made aware of how to win at POPLA and put in appeals, then the creature spawned by the parking industry would be the pet that bit it's master.
Well done, guys. Keep hitting them.0 -

I could not agree more, which is why I do not knock them, but I do not believe that they are doing us, (the motorists), a service.
The more appeals POPLA allow, the higher they will be regarded by the easily led, (by which I include H.M.G.).
Remember, POPLA is not on our side, it is very much the creature of the BPA, and is funded by them, just as the Labour Party is Unison's poodle. If they can find a way of overturning GPEOL appeals, they will. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Perzackly. The Department for Transport for whatever reasons clearly wants the entire racket to continue and seems to be in the pocket of BPA Ltd. Having PoPLA to point at (whilst conveniently ignoring the piffling effect it is having on the 2-3 million fake fines being dished out yearly) only supports the DfT and BPA Ltd. in their refusal to bring this tawdry "industry" to heel.Remember, POPLA is not on our side, it is very much the creature of the BPA, and is funded by them, just as the Labour Party is Unison's poodle. I've said it before here and I'll say it again: PoPLA is not our friend.Je suis Charlie.0 -
I think I may have given the wrong impression here.
I fully support your service and would recommend it to a certain type of person
But you are deluding yourself if you think that these scared people are not concerned about possible court action that you are "handling" for them. Your 100% win figure is possibly the major USP in the mix to help ease their minds.
Calling it irrelevant when it is clearly such a big selling point to your service does you no favours. The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]
PPC Appeals: 8 [accepted: 2, rejected: 5, pending: 1]
POPLA: 4 [accepted: 4, rejected: 0, pending: 0]0 -
... Going to court, beating them, and counter claiming is what matters, the more they lose in court, the more the word will spread, both among the motoring public, and the Judiciary...
Even when we get a defendant who has the cojones to take it all the way, the lottery of small claims means that the result could go either way. A recent FOI request showed that, in the 12 months to March 2014, ParkingEye had won 59% of the cases that went to a contested hearing (not 90% as claimed on their website).
Counterclaims are even more difficult to succeed with, and are currently as rare as rocking horse droppings, although we do know of a couple of those in the pipeline which will be publicised at the appropriate time.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
You know what Guys... Gals... Im potentially one of those 'end users' you are flipping so glibly of the keypad.. and how it was so rudely put'' cant string a coherant sentance together'' but thats becos I is a cancer victim and on drugs Oh and cant be ''bothered to do the research'' becos Im trying to get my affairs in order and I only have to the 24th. So dear posters before you 'hit' on those who for whatever reason get a PCN remember we are the same species as you and arent all thick as two short sandwiches left out ot the vicars hamper.
NOW if anyone would be kind enough to help ME find the progression route out of a PCN I got whilst correctly displaying my dreaded BluBadge...yes Im one of ''those'' too. It would be appreciated as after 40 years of driving Im finding parking has become the minefield that blows my driving experience to sH one Tee.

@ Lancs55 - we will gladly take up your case for you should you require our service - you have the link to our wesbite above and we help many people who have been targeted by PPCs who fleece money from the disabled where the blue badge has no relevance on private land. This is an issue I am in communications with the Minister for Transport with whom I spoke at Parkex.0
