I desperately need a wardrobe with lots of drawers underneath, and not as mugh hanging height, so I can put both children's clothes in my daughter's room; if you come across anything like that please let me know!

In our small nursery I've recently bought a cot tidy, which hangs on the outside of the cot and has big pockets for things like small toys, nappies, wipes, socks, muslins, etc. Similar is something that hangs on the back of the door from Ikea (PYSSLINGAR) with three pockets and it was only a few pounds. We've bought some shelves and an under cot drawer. Plus I've put Ikea drawer separators and boxes on top of and in the bottom of the wardrobe to store additional items.

Ikea is great for storage ideas and has things that fit to the walls or hang down the corner of the room to use more of the vertical space when floor space is full.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

This one has two long drawers underneath, and a shelf inside, which you could put some baskets in for clothes. You could also put some baskets on the floor inside to store non hanging clothes.

Ikea used to do a leksvik version of their wardrobe you could have reduced hanging space and shelving (which you could put storage baskets or whatever on) underneath and above the hanging rail... it was in their nursery section of the store - but we actually have them for adult wardrobes in our bedroom as 99% of the stuff we have hanging up is things like trousers and tops (I don't do dresses).

We're very limited on space in a room the kids have to share - we've put a cheapo chest of drawers in the bottom of the fitted wardrobe to double up space - have two cot-beds in bed form in there at the moment but longer term we'll end up going the bunk bed route when they're old enough (and outgrow the death wish and no common sense phase) getting toward school age. I'd have gone for the Ikea reversible Kura beds on low mode to start with and then with storage underneath in cabin bed mode later on - but the shape of the room is blooming arkward so it's not looking feasible.

I have storage boxes under their beds for next sizes up in clothes, shelving in a daft shaped alcove (said the room was arkward shaped) which I painted in primary colours using tester pots reduced to like 50p in Wickes to make a feature of it that has bedding and stuff on. Toys are a lost cause though - they're downstairs on our fixed-in bookshelves (books in storage as the kids liked to pull them off the shelves anyway) and in the summer house we have in the garden as a summer play room.

Can't easily sell our house as we're right in the path of HS2 limbo at the moment so we've got to fit in as best we can... also have lots of play area on the patio under a gazebo to make more space that way!

Have a browse on childrensbedshop.co.uk They have some ideal beds- I have two children who share the same room. I picked bed with storage space for toys and clothes they aren't wearing right now. Cheap prices with them too, made up :)

We all slept in one room (5 at one stage) and used the other as storage. The elder ones soon got used to dropping back off when the baby kicked off & it was nice to hear the various snores.

We had a downstairs cot which made daytime naps easier to manage. Often the bigger two would "sleep in a heap" which was warm, sociable & very easy to keep tabs on.

All the very best with planned move & December arrival!
