E bay are being very helpful (probably cause of all the publicity!) and the sellers seem to have their feet on the ground. They were quoted from the first as saying that they knew it might not happen. I admire them for giving it a go with something so different.
Can't understand why people on here are so keen on putting others down.0 -

The woman actually quoted that she was buying her son driving lessons and a new car plus going on holiday. Sorry, but you simply do not promise your kids something like that 'if it might not happen'. Furthermore, she put it in the Daily Mail so that the whole world can laugh about it.0 -
Let's hope there are plenty of links, I'd hate for there to be any missing ones.mrs_sparrow wrote: »Do you have a link? I could do with a laugh!! :rotfl:.0 -
And they still think that they are going to get a lot for it through 2nd chance offer!!0

I think the sellers should take the bidder to court for breach of contract (they put lots of bids on so can't claim it was a mistake). They will never get payment but there is a lot of publicity with this item and the publicity of a court case might deter others from doing the same thing and stop all this fake bidding in future. Plus it serves the bidder right they played the game and lost so should not be allowed to get off scott free.0
