Did wonder about it - getting to these ridiculous amounts! How will they get out of it? Not pay and get a defect?0 -
Well it's not really their fault. First it goes viral, and then once people believe the last bid to be a joke, begins the game of cat and mouse, who can put in the highest bid, without actually being lumbered with the final bill.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. cat and mouse is probably the wrong terminology.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0

Whos fault is it then?
I think it is really unfair on the seller. Someone with money would probably genuinely pay a few hundred pounds for it for their child. That would still be lot of money to the seller, but now instead they will just have the hassle of making sure they get their fees refunded by ebay and will be stuck with the dress which they will no longer be able to list due the fear the same mock bidding war will happen again.0 -
I think you misinterpreted my post. When I said it's not their fault, I meant the seller, it's not their fault.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0

It's even on the lovely Daily Mail now

She actually still thinks she is going to get the money!0

I'd probably have been a little more discreet had I been that seller. I'd be flabbergasted if it was a real buyer as the article suggests, even if it was for a promotion for a big company you could get a few hundred made to a better standard for that kind of money. What's the betting she's in again in a couple of weeks with Ebay chasing her for fees when she doesn't file a NPB?It's even on the lovely Daily Mail now
