Scottish Water, living alone, will getting a meter installed save me money?

in Water bills
The council tax includes £350 for water and sewerage
If I get a meter installed, what will the £350 go down to?
Living alone, 1 4 minute shower a day, and I only drink tap water

Do you pay water rates independently.
It's highly unlikely that it's rolled up into your council tax.
How much you pay for council tax or your tax band has no bearing on your rateable value which is a fictitious figure from the 1990s which only the water companies use - it should be shown on your water bill.
More information is needed to try and help you.
A single person would get through about 50 cu.m a year, possibly less depending on how profligate you are with water.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
OP is in Scotland, C. Tax includes a combined service charge.
One person living alone should invariably be cheaper if metered. But remember that the install is chargeable in Scotland (only the meter is free), unlike England and Wales.
Plenty of info on the SW website:
