Thanks for all your help guys. My parking charge has been cancelled.
I did appeal to landowners but got no reply.
I believe I got off, mainly, due to the faulty printed ticket but there were a number of details I was able to attack with your help.
"we have decided in this instance, due to an administrative error, that the parking charge will be cancelled"
Once again, Thanks to you all.0 -
Search the forum for 'UKPC goodwill' to see that letter again and again (they know when they are beaten and an 'admin error' is a good excuse...again and again!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
Goodwill is another way of saying "Oh bu**er, this is a forum assisted appeal and we will lose so let's just cancel now and save ourselves some money. Plenty more gullible fish in the sea."Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0

However, you never got a Notice to Driver (the illegible piece of paper you got is not an NtD as it seems it is missing most of the crucial information). Therefore the NtK will be out of time, and so no Keeper Liability. What a shame.
I love it, hoist by their own petard. Should this same argument not be used for all non-compliant, ( and missing), windscreen tickets. After all, we only have the word of the PPC that a notice was put on the windscreen. I read somewhere that it is a common dodge for parking attendants to place a ticket on the window, photograph the ticket, and remove it.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
