This is for the 2012 version, an excellent tablet if you are not bothered about it being the latest specification. (current version is 2013 version)

Be aware the reason it is so cheap is because it is the 2 year old model, the current model is the September 2013 one which is slimmer/less bulky, has higher screen resolution and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor

That said, if you are after a very cheap / old model tablet google have been updating their software on older models and keeping them current-ish better than most so for it's age and class it'll be one of the better options

That said the 2013 32gb model has been on sale recently fairly widely for only £199 (down from £239)

I've not looked into whether there is a 2014 model due....

There are rumours that a newer version, to be made by HTC, is in the pipeline

My wife has the 2012 version (has had it since Xmas 2012) and loves it. It's running the very latest release of Android (Kitkat 4.4.4).

Ahh yes, googling shows a 'nexus 8' seems to be on the horizon.....

(But maybe I'll see if I can stretch another year out of my ipad2 ;p)

Thanks for that - not bothered about latest version, just looking for a cheap tablet to take out and about.
