ALDI & Parking Eye......again!

A PCN has arrived this week from PE relating to a 1:40 minute stay in a 1:30 minute car park, who knew!
I've spoken to Rachel at ALDI customer services, apparently they can't receive emails so I am posting the proof of purchase at the ALDI store for that day.
Incase this fails or they are too slow to respond I have also issued my appeal to PE using the NEWBIES template.
I've also sent an email to ALDI CEO.
If I have any luck in getting this PCN quashed I'll let you know.

Thanks for posting Jamez. How did you get on in your conversation with Rachel?
If your receipt 'doesn't work', then an appeal via POPLA (post #3 in the NEWBIES sticky) most certainly will.
Come back if you need our help, or to update us on progress. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Well done - it's fantastic to see someone read the advice and get on and do it themselves.

I first sent an email to ALDI customer services and received the following response;
Dear JAMEZ1080
Thank you for your e-mail regarding parking at your local Aldi store and we were sorry to hear of the problems experienced.
We instruct Parking Eye to manage a number of our car parks throughout the UK. It is important to us that we protect our company resources, such as car parks, so that they are safeguarded for use by our customers. Our stores are extremely busy, and it is disappointing for customers when they are unable to find a parking space.
If you would like to speak to someone regarding this please can you contact our Parking Management team between 8:00 & 16.30 Monday to Friday on 01793 836313. I apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
Kelly

I responded with a suitably annoyed tone and demanded the PCN be withdrawn. This prompted the call from Rachel who politely told me not to believe everything I read online! She did say they would review my case once my proof of purchase was received by post. ALDI can't receive email attachments?!?0 -
Have a look at this
Thanks I did follow this thread from an earlier post which prompted me to comment on the ALDI Facebook page. It brought about the standard ALDI response to contact their customer service team. My post had a few positive comments however I also got quite a few insulting comments from trolls!0 -

Yes I couldn't believe it after what I'd read on here, I was all geared up for an argument!0 -

Parking charge reminder has arrived this week, assuming this is automated and does not impact on the appeal letter I have sent back?
Should I appeal again to the reminder or just keep waiting?
Thanks0 -
You shouldn't be receiving a reminder not whilst appeal is ongoing.
I would respond by email/post telling them they have the appeal, enclose a copy of proof of posting if you have it and tell the. You expect to hear by xx/xx w(35 days after you sent appeal) expecting either a cancellation or a POPLA code. Enclose a copy of the appeal to "be helpful" in case they have carelessly lost it!Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0 -
And complain to the BPA. They are supposed to stop processing the 'collection' while an appeal is in progress.0
