How to contact Openreach re Exchange only line and FTTC?

I must admit I thought exchange lines weren't being sorted out as they only represent a small fraction of lines that an exchange serves but if yours is a rural exchange and is being enabled as part of the rural broadband subsidy program then I suppose there is always a chance that they may add a PCP to sort the problem out. The only trouble is there is no way to find out that I'm aware of.
If this were me I'd pick an ADSL2+ provider who also offers fibre (assuming there is one) and upgrade later - if you are upgrading then an ISP won't worry about their remaining ADSL contract term I'm sure.0 -
You tend to find that rural exchanges tend to be adsl only. adsl2 being a pipe dream. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

If the exchange is fibre enabled and most of the lines connected to the exchange are e/o lines then it obviously makes little sense as far as FTTC is concerned, perhaps those offered fibre are being offered FTTH/FTTP a fibre connection all the way from the exchange to the property/home...
it still does come down to economics though, and some may get NGA ( next generation access) and others close by, may not...
As mentioned before, there are no plans to convert e/o DP's into DPs served by copper cabs, however, many e/o DP's are quite close to the exchange, and if connected to one of those and the exchange is ADSL2 enabled a pretty good sync, upto 20 or 24 Mb speed should be possible, depending on the ISP0 -
Ok, well it looks like there's no way of finding out.... they may provide FTTP at a later date or they may not. They may install a cabinet just outside the exchange or they may not. Odd that there's nowhere that they publish their intentions. Thanks everyone for your help, but it doesn't look like there's an answer out there.
I'll stick with ADSL2+ for now, the 16-20Mbps I get at the moment is fine for most of my needs (for now).Ah! Good old trusty beer... I hope you never change.0
