Actually better than the CPU that I'm using currently. But I had the ability to add a PCI Express x16 Graphics Card. Whereas you might be limited to AGP 8x.

Not worth spending much on such a PC.

AMD 3200 was probably good 8 years ago. Clock speed 2200mhz?

I would have though if you bought an SSD for superior performance why strangle it back with a cheap board and CPU?

To get the best from an SSD you'll want windows 8 / 8.1 but you'll also need at least 1gb ram just to run, and 2gb for things to be smooth.

and then add in 4gb memory with your SSD would be a massive upgrade from what you have now.

Thanks for all the replies guys. After Looking on the motherboard again I DID find two sata connections on there.

Im installing windows 7 on ssd now, looking good so far.

Before you get too far with the install, you need to check a setting in the BIOS - the SATA port needs to be set to AHCI (is that right?) so that Windows will treat it like an SSD rather than a hard disk drive. Once installed there's a command you can enter in Windows to make sure that it is. A search on this forum or the web should bring this up.

There was no option in bios for AHCI - only IDE AND RAID i think
