Latex pillows are great. Tried a Tempur pillow, mine only lasted 2yrs then went lumpy. Took it back to JL for a full refund, not fit for purpose.

We splashed out on Dunlopillo Super Comfort pillows 2 years ago and would repurchase them again. They're fantastic - yes they are expensive, but they have a 5-year guarantee and they are so super comfy and supportive (they are latex and always bounce back!). They do different depths of pillow but if you like one fluffy/supportive pillow then the Super Comfort one is probably a good one to try.
They are quite different from memory foam as they are soft and squishy but really supportive. We used to have memory foam pillows but these are just sooooo much more comfortable.0 -
Sainsburys do a nice pillow pair. They are called, Home Collection feels like Down Pillow. £280

I have these, and they're brilliant. I've had mine 12 years now, they wash really well, never lose their shape and are still as comfy as the day they were bought. Well worth paying the extra for.0 -
i have new feather ones from debenhams too - they were a birthday gift (I asked for them) - and they seem to be holding up well.
Don't buy the wool ones - they go all lumpy!0 -
Well, I did see a pillow made of bamboo at the Good Food / Gardeners World show at the NEC:

It felt good but I didn't buy it.
Regret that now0 -
Another option to consider is a latex foam pillow. I've used ones from Dunlopillo for years, but they are becoming increasingly hard to find.
Being foam rubber, they are softer than the memory foam pillow I've tried, and springier than feathers or polyester fibre. They are also non-allergenic.
The 100% latex foam dulopillo are great. Don't let the £50-60 price put you off, they have incredibly longevity and are easily, over time, the cheapest pillow. Mine are still like new some five years after buying them. They're kind of heavy, but feel soft and comfortable, and they always return to their original shape. There really isn't the slightest dent in the middle after years of use. I initially made the mistake of buying one a bit firmer than I needed as I expected it to get softer, which it didn't. I now use that one for sitting up in bed and bought a softer one for sleeping.
John Lewis sell them, so many people can check them out in a local shop.0
