  • Thank you Nifty I certainly will try as my available balance is €5 however I'm sure the PO call centre advised me that you are unable to use the card as tender in shops etc, as its in Euros not Sterling.

Would rather spend every last penny/cent on the card than let them retain it on the card. Feel so let down and disappointed with them, had assumed (!!) that the PO brand was so reliable and trustworthy.

Once again I am very grateful for all your help, thank you.

What kind of nonsense are they telling you? Is it dodgy training are they merely cretins?

That currently gives you £3.85 of spending power, but I suggest that you keep it under that, so there is no chance of spending more than the balance. Perhaps £3.40 to £3.50 to take account of currency fluctuations.

Supermarkets are usually good at allowing you to part pay with a card for your shopping. So you can pay £3.50 on the card and then whatever in cash.
  • Going on experience, I do believe their call centre might just be run by cretins actually.

To ensure the stupid card doesn't embarrass me in public I'll try it out at the supermarket self serve later today and report back
