Free £10 Parcel2Go code

Just tried to use the code and parcel2go for the first time. I put in the code OFFERFREE. I used UPS collection and drop off at £13.00 but instead of collecting £3.00 from my Visa card its taken the whole £13.00 - went on line with their Chat Window and the best they can do is apply a credit of £10 to my parcel2go account. I am told they can't authorise that immediately and will have to wait for confirmation. UPS came 15 mins after I booked the order but I will not use Parcel2Go after this experience this morning, I'll be sticking with Collect+ directly,0

Unfortunately, the £10 doesn't include the compensation cost. My parcel was worth £150. To cover compensation for this, Parcel2go were charging me £7.80 (!), but the £10 off didn't apply to that. So - at least for my parcel - not really worth it :-(

Terrible terrible service. Waited in all day and they claim they tried to collect. They didn't - and I wasted my day off. Would never use ever again. Total waste of time. Be warned.0

Hi
I used, or thought I was using the code the other day. No problems with the parcel collection, or as I'm so far aware, the delivery.
However, on checking my bank statement, I found I had been charged the full amount. I admit I was in a hurry when I placed the order, but I entered the code, it was accepted, and I'm reasonably sure I was only paying the discounted amount.
When I took this up just now with Parcel2Go customer services (via live chat) I was told I wasn't eligible to use the code as I'm not a new customer. I had forgotten that I had used their service just once, more than 2 1/2 years ago, using the same email address that I was currently using.
This is fair enough, but my argument is the webform on their site's order page should have warned me that I couldn't use the code, (i.e. "invalid code") or failing that, if I hadn't logged in, I should have received an email warning me that I would be charged the full amount, and giving me the option to cancel prior to collection. This is not difficult to set up - all databases are capable of recognising an email address and generating a message.
I would advise anyone using this to attempt logon to the Parcel2go site before placing an order (whether you think you're a previous customer or not), and again, check the amount you're being charged AND your invoice afterwards.0 -
Went through all the procedures had a quote of £5. code worked. So nothing to pay. Until it told me no Access point and the new bill would be £31.! Stated on live chat shocking jump in price. Still awaiting answer.
Not impressed at all.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
Just been trying to send a parcel to a customer in Canada.
Firstly when it says "Parcel Contents" it doesn't say it will ask for the details on a commercial invoice on the next page.
I tried using their Facebook page (nice and secure, NOT!) and found I could use Live Chat if I went through to the next page of the quote process.
The Live Chat is slow and annoying, I commented at the end that it would be easier if I could speak to someone and they said "Oh, we do an out-going call centre and can arrange for a call back". Nice of them to mention that up front! (And see below...)
Secondly it wants the exact value of the goods on the first page and those have to tally with the total (more than one item) on the second page, so when I used the back button it wiped out all those details and I had to put them in again.
Thirdly I don't know if the customer will see a copy of the Commercial Invoice when the goods arrived. I don't want them knowing my profit margins.
Fourthly, when I printed off the documents I got an e-mail saying I should have three address labels and three commercial invoices, but I got one label and four invoices. Meanwhile their web page said I should stick them to the front of the parcel.
So I tried their Live Chat again and requested for a call-back and was asked why I wanted one. I said it was regarding my parcel P2Gxxxxxx and then they wanted to know what the problem was, so I had to type out the details anyway.
They then asked what the parcel number was and it could be found on the details I'd been sent, so I pointed out that it was also at the top of the Live Chat details...
I finally pointed out that it would be good if the information they gave customers was a) consistent and b) actually matched what customers got.
So, money saving, maybe, but time saving? NO!if i had known then what i know now0 -
I tried booking a delivery to the Isle of Man to send christmas presents & the intial search brought up a couple of results. I selected 'Yodel-Highlands & islands' as this clearly stated that this includes the Isle of Man and my parcel was within the size/wight restrictions. Completed 3/4 pages of information including the address & when I went to click next onto payment it popped up saying 'this service does not cover your delivery location'.
I've reported this to p2g via email & twitter providing screenshots however they have been useless & say that they must not deliver to that location :mad:which is a lie as the yodel service clearly states that it does & I've also used yodel directly in the past with no problems for the same service!
Think they need to sort their website out as its clearly buggy - it shouldn't give me an option & allow me to basically get to payment before 'computer says no' - frustrating to say the least!0 -
Be aware that they operate a no guaranteed of collection or delivery policy.(Collection and Delivery are not guaranteed but currently enjoy a 96% success rate.)
e.g. you pay for a 24 hour service, they don't collect when stated, so they re-book it, it then turns into a 48 (working) hour service, you can't claim any money back.
They are pretty good, but i find they've recently fallen to the level that parcel monkey are.Current Profit - £Lots:money:0 -
