Maybe speak to trading standards now? Before you rush in to a claim.
I dont see
why you went ahead with the bath fit yourselves?
I think it was a mistake to cross diy with his job per se. Hasnt it kinda muddied the waters a bit?0 -

Were not going to rush into a claim, These things take time and we will be seeking advice beforehand.
I fitted the bath otherwise as he said before he left on the Thursday we would be looking at extra labour charges on top of what he had already quoted to fit the bath.0 -
we had problems with a shower installation a few years back, got some good advice over the phone from http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/index/getadvice.htm
