Was the debt only "assigned" to the DCA ?
I take it this is to do with your other thread ?
If so happens all the time, what exactly have they said to you ?

Different debt. Not that I know of, one of the debts Was owned by marlin but assigned to Mackenziehall. Both debts started with NRAM.

They have returned my cheques and said that they have passed back my account to the client.

That's interesting, its there responsibility to pass the request on to the creditor, just send CCA request to original creditors instead then.

I'll have to go through my paperwork, I ended up getting g rid of quite a bit this weekend as I didn't think I'd need old statements again.

Why do DCAs pass accounts back when a CCA request is made?

Probably because it's a hassle. Or they tell the creditor about the request and they recall the account.

Sometimes it happens without a CCA request so might not be linked to that.

Is it worth my waiting until the original lender gets in touch with me before sending the CCA request?
