Maybe wait for the next letter. Then clarify who owns the debt and who is collecting for who. Then, once you have that, CCA the !!!!!!s:beer:0

Out of interest, should I still pay the DCA who has responded to my CCA request, as my payment date falls on working day 12 of my request.

Thanks.
If they came back with a watertight CCA that proves the debt is yours and it isn't SB'd then I'd guess so. If not, don't pay, and write a letter to them saying the account's under dispute due to lack of a credible CCA.
It does however sound like you spooked them when they went to the file they have on you to get the CCA and found nothing there. Sounds like they know it's unenforceable and aren't bothered because you sent them enough to make them think you know your eggs and could catch them out.
In short, it sounds like it may be unenforceable in court....0 -
No, they just confirmed that they would contact hsbc for the ccaAs at End of June 2014

Up to you. Could pay this one , unless it's a lot, then not pay the next if they fail to supply.:beer:0

I wouldn't' pay this one.
If they know that you know the debt could be unenforceable, and not paying sends that message in spades, then it gives you massive power in any negotiation or a simple unenforceable so #### off.
Just an idea really.I'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013
