Morning Everyone.....woke up naturally (ie: without my Alarm Clock) and now can't get back to sleep.....so thought I would sort out my finances a bit - so I paid my Mobile Bill and a little bit off my Credit Card (that needs clearing ASAP!!)....and now I'm just chilling out for a short while....going to Work in a little while I think....
I'm Potting £3 this morning...and Potted a bit of change yesterday....about 60p-odd or so....
Good to see you back Sue....sorry to hear that your Computer wasn't working...glad it is now....And glad to hear that you had a good Holiday!!0 -

Our fearless leader has returned!
Well done to your DGS, those are brilliant G.C.S.E's, am already bargaining with DS over his exams (he's only going into year 9 but its always worth laying the groundwork early where my [STRIKE]lazy[/STRIKE] motivationally challenged son is concerned
) He has been promised £5 for every A, £3 for Every B and £1 for every C he gets for G.C.S.E . . . he doesn't know yet but DH is about to offer him £20 for every A* he achieves  unfortunately DS is just one of those kids who has the potential to do really well but is quite happy to coast along doing minimum effort so though some people may disagree with it, im happy to bribe him for the results.
*Of course if he gets all C's / D's but we can see he did his absolute best and achieved the very best grades he could, that completely changes the monetary return as I do believe in rewarding the effort as well as the result
I have some change in my purse which I will pot in a little bit when I can be bothered to go get my purse, I also have £5 quidc0 payment gone in the bank today so will go get it out and pot that too :TSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Welcome back Sue, glad you had a good holiday, and a WOW to those exam results. I think that's a great idea Jakes-Mum, whatever works for the individual child eh? and a little bribery may work wonders. Also good to see that if he's done his best he will be rewarded, my son has learning difficulties and so each milestone is rewarded and cheered, I worry like mad but if I can say I've done my best, and he's doing his best, it makes it "slightly" easier to sleep at night. We all have different talents and abilities, maybe one day I'll find mine........
Ooh, nearly forgot - £5.70 for the pot today, a crispy new fiver (in envelope next to pot, and a bit of change). I'm going to fill this pot if it kills me.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0 -
Thats what im hoping AlwaysHappy I just want him to have as many doors open for him as possible, as I said to DH, he will hate me at 16 when im on his back to study, but he will love me at 26 when he realises WHY I did it, and if it has to physically cost me money to save him from his own naivity and attitude then it will be money well spent
Have potted the £5 from Quidc0, a lovely £2 coin that DD got in her change yesterday (which I veeeeeeeeery kindly swapped for 2 £1 coins as we all know 2 x £1 is much better than 1 x £2 :rotfl:) and also 61p in change! so pots well fed today
I can see the top of the coins through the slot now! £1 coins have to be shoved in at an angle so its nearly full :j :jSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
