I like that sentiment Trixxibell - small steps and all that, and it becomes a habit doesn't it. It will mount up no matter how little the amount is.
£1 for my tin today. I'm getting concerned that my tin is a tardis, I can hear that the coins aren't going very far now ie its near to the top, but I've thought that for oooh months. Its the weirdest thing.

I know what you mean AlwaysHappy. I've felt the same about my cupcake money box. Have been saying to myself 'I'll need to get another tin soon' for about 2 months :o

But it still keeps going in! 83p potted today. I had my card cloned so I've kinda been on an enforced no spend all week as I have no debit card. Gotta look at the positives! :rotfl:

    £6.61 potted today.

I booked a weekend shopping trip, for November, yesterday so do you think it is ok if I open my tins 2 weeks early? (Going on 13 November) I will start the 2015 sealed pot challenge when I get home on the 18th November :D. Alternatively, I could use the savings from my other challenges. Hmmm, I suppose I have a while to decide what to do!!

I hope everyone has had a good weekend. I went for a run this morning and got soaked through to the skin, literally. My waterproof jacket is not waterproof in the slightest.

  • £6.50 potted today :)

As you may have noticed I have also stopped keeping a check on what money is in my tin :) As I want a surprise in November but also because I cant keep track of what goes in there on a daily basis (some bits I dont post if I dont have time after work/the next morning)

    So yeah :)

£1.30 last night and 25p this morning potted. I've been very good at not wasting money lately, DH is slipping back though. Must get the whip and chains out again. :rotfl:

    Hugs to all.

    Be well.

    hi everyone,

I have not potted anything for a while as EVERY SINGLE PENNY has gone at my debt over the last few months but that can change now :D as its done! Will be potting like crazy until jar opening time. It feels quite heavy but its mostly coppers but still always a pleasant surprise to have some money for 'me' when I open it. :D

Thanks and I'm ahead of the game. That suit myself as I can now relax for the final few months and reach my target. Others finish fast and we'll all get there in the end (hopefully).

    Congratulations, enjoy your savings now.

    Another 3 x £1 coins potted = £3.
This will be another low potting week as virtually nothing needed and I'm trying to stay away from the shops.

Decided NOT to eat out for lunch today, ended up going out anyway somehow,I really don't know how that happened, anyway, spent £20:05 ( for 3 people) so £4:95 went in the pot. Back to work tomorrow so no more opportunities to waste money on carrot cake and coffee with wavy patterns on the top.
Weekly shop done £53 not bad :)

Got the small man his school shoes, so that was one job done, was a bit like the ministry of silly walks in the shop though, I don't know who he takes after…...
