I have a claim letter but I didn't know I had been paying CPP. How can I find out what I was paying it on?

I have looked at the templates but none seem to be for me. That is I didn't know I was paying the CPP.
Should I just state that on my form?
Surely that must come under mis-selling.0 -
It would have been on every monthly statement.petunia100 wrote: »I didn't know I was paying the CPP.0 -

CPP Can be confused with PPI .
CPP may not be a monthly figure on mine it was a yearly charge not a large figure so did not stand out but PPI was charged monthly on balances .Light travels faster than sound.
This is why some people seem as bright until you hear them.0 -
Good point, but still not a valid complaint to simply say "I did not know I had it".CPP may not be a monthly figure on mine it was a yearly charge not a large figure so did not stand out
These insurances were not simply added without the knowledge and permission of the customer. Claim companies foster that myth to get more people to sign up with them.0 -
So what template should I use?
This was for 4 years ending in 2010 so I may not have the statements. Advise please?0 -

In that case you have a two tier complaint you do not need statements .
CPP will tell you your details and I think you should ring them or write first.
The redress if any is dealt directly by them
pre 2005 is a separate claim and that complaint should be directed to the bank in question .Light travels faster than sound.

I have rung them and found out the details of the company involved and the years that I paid it.
Could you please explain what you mean by a two tier complaint?
Thanks.0
