Does anyone have a <freetime> pvr?

So with Sky's imminent price rise I am thinking of cancelling. It is not that it is a huge rise or that I can't afford it but more just that the price rise now puts my monthly cost into a bracket that I think is too much.
So I am thinking of buying the <freetime> pvr:

I've been reading up on this and the user experiences all seem very negative. Is this still the case? All I want is reliable recording, a reasonable UI and something that doesn't freeze. I have a PS3 so I don't even need the on demand stuff but it would be nice to have it all via one STB
TIA

Thanks.
The managers special price is ridiculously cheap! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
We have had it for about a year now after cancelling Sky. We find it fine, we bought the one with a bigger disc and its only ever 30% full, with sky it used to run out of space. any channels we miss we catch up online. We haven't had any techincal problems either.
We chose it as we can't get freeview as aerials dont work well where we live due to trees. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
I have just ditched Sky in favour of the Humax - absolutely excellent piece of kit !!0

I have a Humax, we all find it brilliant. Have had it over a year.[FONT="][FONT="] Fighting the biggest battle of my life.

Thanks All. I am a couple of months away from the end of my contract so will probably get this once I actually cancel.
@ Teddysmum. Thanks for the heads up. I am most probably going to go with one of managers special at Humax, assuming the price doesn't rise dramatically over the next month. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Have had the 1TB freetime one now for about 4 months and its a fantastic piece of kit. Can even use your iPhone as a remote and set stuff to record when you're on the go. No Android app yet tho :-(
Also, had 2*FoxSat 320 before this and installed a 1TB disk in these myself. Again - Solid as a rock!
