Corporate Discount for O2 Mobile Phone Contracts - O2 Open UPDATE

First of all, please excuse the length of this post - there is ALOT to cover so that all questions that may arise can be answered... so, anyway...
Some of you may have read some of the older posts on here and on other forums regarding O2's Corporate Discount Scheme for certain employees of various companies. I wanted to take this time to introduce you to how the system works exactly and what you can expect.
O2 introduced their new O2 Refresh Plans in July 2013 as a way of enabling their customers to get the phone they want - when they want. To do this, all they have to do is pay off their existing phone, the rest of their tariff would be waived provided they take out a new 24 month agreement with a new handset. The way this works (as some of you may already know) is that you have one payment per month for your Airtime (Your Mins, Txts & Data) then another for your Phone Plan (the cost of your phone, spread over 24 months). You combine the two to get your final monthly payment.
With O2 Open though, you can save 30% off the Airtime Amount. It used to work where you would have a credit applied to your bill, but this changed when Refresh was introduced. As of July 2014 the typical Airtime Plans which can be discounted are as follows;
£8 - 100mins, Unltd Txts & 100MB Data
£10 - 300mins, Unltd Txts & 300MB Data
£13 - 500mins, Unltd Txts & 500MB Data
£18 - Unltd Mins, Txts & 1GB Data (sometimes offered with an extra 1GB at no extra cost)
£23 - Unltd Mins, Txts & 5GB Data
£28 - Unltd Mins, Txts & 8GB Data
So for instance - the £13 Airtime plan for 500mins would cost you just £9.10 and the £18 Airtime Plan for Unltd Mins would cost you £12.60. Simply choose the tariff that suits you then minus the 30%. All you need to do then is work out how much your phone plan repayment will be. O2 do all the work for you on their website. Select the phone you want, then it will detail your phone plan repayment. A low cost handset can be as little as £4 per month, with the highest being £25 per month.
This discount however can be a great deal closer for most people who want a better rate on their contract and can at times beat most rival competitors - even with some retention deals. It all depends on the phone that you wish to take.
There is a huge list of companies O2 are partnered with for these deals, some of which are here;
McDonalds
Network Rail
ARUP
BBC
John Lewis
Transport for London
CO-OP
Home Retail Group - Argos/Homebase
CSC
BAM
POL Federation
NUS (for students)
NHS
Police Federation
Armed Forces
ASDA
Avon
Most of these, all bar NUS can be used 5 times. For example, if you work for The NHS and have your Open Code, you can use it once for yourself then another 4 times more for your friends and or family members.
The way to get this discount is to visit the O2 Open website, then simply enter your Name, Organisation and your Mobile Number. You will be logged into the site where you can have your discount code sent to you by text message to a mobile number of your choice. You also get 20% off cases online too. Once you have the code you will need to text the word "OPEN" to 2020. You will receive a text message back giving you instructions on what to supply next, this will be something like;
"Thanks, please respond with the word OPEN, followed by your Open Code, Mobile Number, Name & Postcode". Once you have done this, the system will check your eligibility then process the discount onto your account within 48 hours.
!!! PLEASE NOTE !!!
This discount only applies to those who go directly to O2 in store, online or over the phone and cannot be applied to any other discounts you may have received from O2 (e.g. a retention deal) and will not apply to any cash back deals online, 3rd party websites offering mobile phones or other high street retailers such as Carphone Warehouse or Phones4U.
Discount MUST be applied within the first 28 days of your contract going live, whether its a NEW Connection or UPGRADE.
Your first bill after the connection has gone live or upgraded will be full price, discount will be applied to your account from month 2 onwards and will expire once your contract comes to an end or when you upgrade (whichever is sooner). Discount can be re-applied provided you still work for one of the companies included in the scheme.
Discount may not apply to handsets that have just been released (e.g. iPhone 5S & 5C weren't available on O2 Open until Feb 2014) so chances are the new iPhone to be released this September won't be on there straight away.
Discount does not apply to Tablets or Bundles - this may be updated in time though, so please check with customer services on 0344 809 0202 or dial 202 from your O2 phone.
Discount does not apply to Sim Only Deals - REFRESH CONTRACTS ONLY.
Please ask any questions regarding this if you wish, I will do my best to answer them in full for you.
