    Hi Natty
    Where are Thursday's tasks?

See a few posts back, Natty was not feeling well last night so will do later today when she is up and about.

    Morning all

DS3 off school due to the strike so still in bed. Tis lovely and quiet here so going to do HHP then shower before the hairdresser comes.

My face feels tight from the sun, I'm going to need to up the sunscreen, think I've become very sensitive to the sun but it is not at all red, very odd - that'll be my hormones

Plan to sort DS2&3's clothes for hols and see what they need and pop to town later as I have bits to return etc down there anyhow.

Ald! have sensitive sunscreen (formulated for the face I think) on a specialbuy ATM, factors 30 or 50, £3.49 (I think) for 50ml. I bought SPF50 for DH and cricket, as he's very pale skinned and ginger strawberry blonde ;)

Personally, I use Soltan Once facial sunscreen in SPF30, it's usually £11 for 30ml but is on half price right now. Lovely stuff, feels like moisturiser instead of sun cream and doesn't block my pores and make me more spotty. One application lasts 8 hours which I need as I apply it underneath a shedload of makeup :o
  • Morning everyone - hope all poorlies are feeling better this morning.
Just off to buy a few bits for meal I'm doing tomorrow night for DS and DS GF - have slow cooker will travel!

Late night last night as I DID IT!! Race for Life - not recommended on Blackpool prom headlong for first 2.5 km into a force 6 wind - well it felt like that, being splashed by the sea spray but it was a beautiful evening. At the end of the 2.5 KM was an enormous incline - must have been 1 in 6 ( I am prone to exaggerate!) Anyway I did a respectable 1hr 11.32 - but at least 10 min of that was walking with hundreds of others at a snail pace to get over the start line. It was a fantastic atmosphere and quite cathartic because tbh in March 1996 I never imagined I'd still be around now.

Another busy weekend ahead so prepping for that today - but have managed to do the shower tiles and bathroom basin this am.

Looking forward to a third time lucky meeting tomorrow.

Catch up with you all Monday - have a great weekend. x

    Morning!

School run done, my bed stripped (it is wet, not me, you understand, and I don't know who as both kiddies got in but no-ones pjs were wet??.) DD in her room playing with friends DD. So I'm having a brew and a sit down.

Need to get a bright coloured tee out for DS. Apparently they are filming a dance they've been learning in pe, tomorrow. First I've heard of it...

Think I'll go get one now, lest I forget ;)

Morning all, spent yesterday sanding down 2 biggish gates. 20 years of paint on them eckks. Done 2 coats on each of the gold colour but haven't got the black done yet, not sure i'll get any done today (rain has been off and on).

Need to get kitchen tidied now, send boys to pack up tents and stuff they left out the other night. Loads of inside jobs to do if rain keeps going and if it stops i'll paint.

Really want the garden and car done before tomorrow night. Need to dye my hair this evening and would need to get my eyebrows done tomorrow. Think i'll have to get kids to give a hand.

    :T :T :T Congratulations on your Race for Life, JTTOU! :T :T :T

Thanks for today's list, Natty. I am feeling virtuous because I cleaned my kitchen thoroughly yesterday. Didn't get round to doing the bathroom or dusting elsewhere, but hey-ho! the sun is shining today and I want to get out in the garden.

First, though, I need to write a work email....

See you all later. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all who need them x
