I'm in too please. Just been sent over this way from my post on the forum and I think this little and often approach will really help me. I'm a severe asthmatic so have to be very careful with cleaning products nothing too heavily scented or that gives off fumes does anyone have any suggestions of natural cleaning products that I can use instead please by any chance? Thank you in advance xThanks!

hello and welcome!
I'd use just washing up liquid and water and a microfiber cloth.. avoid stardrops!! It is really aggravating!! Even just in a bucket of water it makes me wheeze. Washing up liquid will cut through dirt and grease though which is fine, if it is good enough for cutlery when you put in your mouth it should be ok for your home!
Can you use bleach? a bleach solution if you don't want to use washing up liquid would be fine!
I quite like zoflora as well but it is pretty heavily scented so probably not good for you.
Just any disinfectant, as cheap as possible is probably ok too, diluted in a bowl or bucket of water, I'm guessing sprays would not be ideal either.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Hi all.
Latest news is Mr LW has had an email from the health plan people directing him to a clinic in MK.:T He has to arrange to see the surgeon, presumably to sort out tests etc to determine the extent of the damage, and how best to fix it. I shall be keeping on at him to get it done as prevarication is his middle name!Lamewolf - could you not shop onl;ine and if you're desperate - was gonna suggest longlife milk too; I usually get one in for winter -
Dusty good thought about freezing milk, but my freezer is full to bursting at this point in time!:D The only way I'd get milk in is to pour it in the tiny gaps between the boxes and bags!!:rotfl:
I've never done online grocery shopping, as I don't do a regular "main shop" at all, I keep an ongoing list and go when (1) me feeling well enough to go and (2) Mr LW being available to take me coincide (if that made sense). Next planned SM visit is tomorrow night; there are 5 items (including milk, as if you couldn't guess):D on the list; plus sliced bread (I keep a loaf for emergencies), sunflower margarine, butter x2 and grapefruit juice x3.
I'm afraid I'm going to ask for a raincheck on the meet-up. The stress of Mr LW's impending surgery, plus the impending kitchen refit are enough to worry about. Also I have wall-to-wall dog bookings virtually through to mid Sept, and so I just don't feel I can make any promises, as I'd hate to let people down at the last minute.
Going to take Jessie for walkies next, I think.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi all
Got out of work at a reasonable time, and was almost in time to collect kiddies, but they are booked in at school club, so there they will stay for another hour.
I'm going to get my steamer and do the bathroom tiles and floors. I'll do the downstairs floors once the littlies are in bed.
4 more working days for me :T
On my way home I was financial planning for when I'm a millionaire and can give up work, lolBossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Have managed a few things so far today:
[STRIKE]- Finish course materials
- SW[/STRIKE] (if necessary I will come home early) - I had put back half a pound
- [STRIKE]Tidy, hoover and dust downstairs[/STRIKE] - DH hoovered
-[STRIKE] Hair appointment 12:00 - it will soon be short enough to trim with the clippers[/STRIKE] - the back was done on no.4, and the top's not much longer now: very liberating
- [STRIKE]Run next session of course[/STRIKE]
- Tidy study... again!
- Mow lawn - it's been pouring with rain since 3.15 so this will be carried over to another day
- QHI whilst watching TV
Carried over:
[STRIKE]- Check fire alarm is working[/STRIKE]
- Sort 10 things from wardrobe to get rid of (1 from me and 9 from DH)
Will start from the bottom of the list and work up after I've sat and read my new magazine for half an hour, at which point it will be time to get tea.
Dancemum, I went into a shop this morning where a 3- or 4-year-old girl was having a major tantrum. It wore me out just to watch her. (Mum was being very good and sticking to her guns.) I can't imagine what it must be like to have to cope with it almost every day. You are a star :A0
