Cheese and jam sandwiches are pretty good

I'm vegan now so it would be vegan cheese and jam sandwiches but that is good. It's nice on crackers too.:)

Cheese and jam on a buttie, or crackers.

    Dairylea and raisin butties.

I had this a week or two ago at Dogs n Dough in Manchester - hot dog with cheese, jam and peanut butter. Best thing ever.

I'm another bacon and banana fan. I wrap the banana in bacon or pancetta and grill. Yum.

I am not a big fan of cold meat but ham can be cheered up for me with the cultural coach of mango chutney or lime pickle.

Cheese on toast now cannot be eaten in our house without balsamic vinegar. Who knew how amazing that would be?

I love jello salads, but am intrigued to try the recommended sweet potatoes with pineapple. No reason it wouldn't work ( like sweet potato with marsh mallow, also yum, ) . Suppose it might be best served with something with a bit of zing, some sort of spicy chicken?

My father always topped grilled cheese on toast with marmalade. Come to think of it, does anyone eat grilled cheese on toast anymore?

I had a seriously intelligent (Post PhD newly qualified scientist in his first scientific job - still doing it 20 years later) lodger. His evening meal 'recipe' never varied - he'd put the first three things he saw together as a meal every night. I saw many, many strange things but he scoffed them all.
    Better is good enough.

  • This thread is mad!! But some things sound nice!

I like mince with baked beans stirred in, corned beef and salt and vinegar crisps on white buttered bread with tomato ketchup on - best buttie ever!

My cousin in the US always has peanut butter with bacon but I'm not keen, although she also has peanut butter on celery with raisins and that's nice!

Super noodle sandwich sounds like something I shouldn't know about - good job I've got none in or I'd be making one!!
