The bacon and banana combination is a very Australian and South African thing. (although Elvis Presley's favourite sandwich was Bacon, peanut butter and banana) I used to make a chicken stuffing with these flavours. I will say that peanut butter and bacon sandwiches are awesome Then there is the banana on pizza, I've converted my DH but failed with my food classes at school. We also use jelly as a salad ingredient, lemon jelly with cucumber, raspberry jelly with beetroot. Actually the last idea works well at buffets as it keeps the juice confined
At then there are the sweet potato variations, these include adding tinned pineapple, cinnamon and brown sugar - best served with a roast dinner :rotfl:And then there is that great South African dish Boboti - best described as curried mince and custard. In reality the custard is like the topping on Moussaka.
You have to be born south of the Equator to appreciate these.

Cheese and jam sandwiches are pretty good ��as are mashed potato sandwiches.. Yummy! ��

The noodle ones sound good.. May give this a go at some point.
