the phone can be blocked via its imei number, As for your buyer i wouldnt believe a word they say and dispute as much as you can, your reciept giving the weight is evidence you sent the phone, dont refund the buyer, take it to parcelforce

I have blocked it with the original network the phone was on, but they said they can't stop other networks from using it as the phone was unlocked before....

You should look at your receipt of postage as that will have a weight on it.

You would paid per weight and then you will know that they are telling lies.

Send them a copy of the receipt as proof that you paid for x amount of weight.

It only proves that it was sent. I've had an item stolen by, either a courier driver or someone at the depot, it wasn't the sender's fault but they replaced it.

    Hi everyone

As expected, PayPal has just ruled against me saying they will refund the buyer within days, no investigation whatsoever.

Also heard back from Parcelforce. The buyer responded to Parcelforce's questionnaire saying there was no damage to packaging so Parcelforce rejected my claim...*sigh*

Has anyone gone through the appeals process with Parcelforce? If so, any advice on how to approach? I was going to mention:

    a) the weight of the parcel matches the weight of the phone, box etc (thinking of getting conf from Apple)

    b) If it got stolen through the delivery process they would obviously wrap it up to look like it was not opened so to the recipient, it wouldn't have looked like there was anything wrong

    c) Has Parcelforce checked their CCTV, spoke to drivers and checked hubs trying to locate phone (apparently this is part of the usual process but they got back to me so quickly I have doubts on whether they went through the full process)

    Anything else I should add?

In addition, I want to dispute with eBay/PayPal as much as possible (even if nothing comes from it, just to make a point about the lack of seller protection) and perhaps pursue through small claims court. Has anyone tried and do you think it's worth it?

I have a proper job to do and wasting time on this is really frustrating but would make it feel worse if I did nothing about it...

This is a perfect example of why I sell laptops, phones and ipads as cash on collection only.
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

This is why I no longer sell on ebay anymore, too many thief's and scammers, and ebay does not support sellers enough. One particularly very nasty buyer put me off forever.I only buy now.
  • Phone ebay/paypal up and talk to them, it will at least make them squirm

To be honest, this is exactly why I refuse to sell anything electrical on eBay and prefer Gumtree. I will not have bandits like this !!!!ing me about.

If you have the weight of the parcel on the receipt, that's something you can clearly prove that the weight of the parcel matches that of Apple's item. Phone up and and start shouting, that's what I did when I sold an iPhone on eBay and had problems. I only got a partial refund, but it was something.

When are eBay going to start protecting sellers? Never.

One of these days, some dodgy buyer like this is going to end up having a molotov cocktail thrown through their front window or something ridiculous all over an iPhone and someone's greed and total selfishness.

Will I lose any sleep? Nah.

and if it turned out it had been nicked by the courier?
I know I wouldn't be quite so pleased with the idea of someone and their family being murdered for the sake of a few hundred quid.
