  • Been through a similar time....my basset girl has multiple complications and to boot is allergic to almost everything under the sun (all processed food, commercial food inc vet approved, medications and certain, supplements, some raw meats and fruit and veg, gluten, cereals, rice, pasta and the usual bland diets.....!)
Recently went down with vomitting and diarrhoea and after more research, I believed it was Addisons - multiple tests, scans etc and turns out to be pancreatitis.
However, just wanted to say that I hope your dog is feeling better and your coping with a tough situation - having spent 5 years finding out all her troubles, keeping her as healthy as pos and pain free has been an absolute torturous time, this was so unexpected but I know we'll get through it
I spend a lot of sleepless nights trying to learn about food, natural products etc and I'm all in favour of the odd antibiotic. Her first 12 months or so was a constant stream of vets visits and living on medication. Until Saturday she has had 4 years without prescription drugs and is fed on a raw diet - I have meticulously researched and by trial and error, have solved most of her problems.
Couldn't have done it without some fantastic dog owners who have guided me and given their time so freely
Hope you manage to find a way forward xxx

Heartwarming story but still :spam: nonetheless.
Sorry, new to this forum and don't understand what you mean "spam"
Just trying to give hope to others as dog owners have given to me

Chappie is supposed to be good . My Jack Russell appears to have frequent attacks , normally coinciding when the git has managed to find some rancid old rotton food and pigged it back , i no longer take him to work because of this . He has a low fat dry food for old dogs and I weigh it out every day giving him half in the morning half at night , it does look much and he gulps it back in about 5 seconds , bt i tell him its for his own good lol .My mum no longer slips him bits ( he is very good at looking sorry for his self ) as on her visit over Easter he became very ill , and , as with every attack , you really think this is it , but a few days of starvation seems to sort it
Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later
