Asda stole my money...

I ordered wine from Asda on 28th February and they....
1.did not identify they did not have one of the brands
2. delivered a substitute and dumped it on the doorstep so no way to return
3. agreed to charge the original wine's price which was £19 cheaper
4. billed me for the full amount,so £19 more
5. then agreed to credit my account with eVouchers rather than return the overspend to my Debit Card/CC
6.the eVOuchers were not credited to my account
7.they say now that the money is lost as it was more than 3 months which is the expiry timescale!
8.they won't email me with either a response or a confirmation of credit

It seems that if you go onto Twitter or Facebook and put your comments on there you will get a positive response from companies.
I saw this on a programme lately and it seems to be 100% true.
Why not try that, it is your money after all and can not do any harm trying.0 -
Hi I had a similar problem with Asda. They did not deliver some bourbon but we were charged for it. They also tried to charge me 3 times as much for a separate replacement item (crisps) and I had to haggle with the delivery guy on the doorstep. I was told on 4 separate occasions that they would refund me for the bourbon but they didn't. In the end I wrote to:
ASDA Customer Services
ASDA House
Southbank
Great Wilson Street

Make sure you put your order number in the letter. I got a phone call apologizing, with a refund and and a voucher for £15. I have to say that it has put me off internet shopping with them plus they seem to have the highest amount of replacements[/FONT].
Depending on price and item it is up to the actual store to prompt the refund.
Hope this helps0 -

If they "stole" it, go to the police - or get a lawyer before Asda sue you for libel..................0

Well, I'm pro-Asda delivery.
A missing eyeliner which probably fell out the box and was rattling round the van was quickly refunded - no quibble; and unsuitable subs, namely hubby's preferred cigars have been recredited to my card a s a p.
The only times I've been diddled on substitutions was on tobacco, received 3 x 12.5g at full price rather than the 50g pouch I ordered - serves me right for being a filthy smoker; and the occasional sub on meat, eg buy 2 for £6, one is substituted so the deal fails, but the substituted items is larger and more expensive. I've won with other subs - so I'll call it quits, no point getting arsey - these are people making the next best choices for you, 'cos you can't be faffed to go shop yourself.
For £2 delivery a week, all shopping in house by 10am Saturday, friendly delivery chaps (well done Trowbridge, Wiltshire store!!) I have no complaints whatsoever, and working full time - I don't have to get my lazy !!!! out the house at weekends and join the cattle market instore.
I quite like the challenge with substitutions (O level cookery at it's best).
As for leaving stuff outside the back door, well - they can't do that, as you need to sign for each delivery.
If you've ordered a few days in advance, if you log back into your account the day before delivery, they will advise you of any items that have become unavailable.0 -
PS. forgot to mention - 4 Asda Mint choc chip ice creams cones for £1 - fanflippintastic!!! Fill your boots, the toffee ones are OK too, but Mint choc chip are my favourites!!!0

This is why I love Tesco, if the replacement is more expensive you only get charged the original price or if it's below you get the difference refunded.0

I went off Tesco...the first few orders were OK, but then noticed the fresh meat got naffer and naffer.
Have been doing Asda for approx. 5 months now, sometimes the fresh stir fry salad doesn't have a long date on it, so I may have to rejiggle my meal plan.
If I see the van pulling up, I'll go down and offer to take a few of the heavier items or a couple of pallets off them. (trawling the sack truck up our path is not fun).
They divulge horror stories to me about unnecessary customer rudeness, normally because the customer was not in for "their hourly slot", or how some people speak down to them as if they were Delivery boys from Dickensian times.
Well, off to bed in a mo - need to look glam for my 0800-1000hrs delivery tomorrow.0 -
TBH I only tend to buy frozen meat, I also get a 1 hours deliver slot0

Ocado are excellent No substitutions always on time and carried my Sons shopping up several steps outside his house and through to the kitchen.0
