I've seen packs of the bands for sale in the 99p shop. No idea how many are in them but might be worth a look.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons0

I've spent around £5 and a friend made my son a loom (two dowels on a piece of wood). His friend today was selling them at the car boot sale and reckoned he could make ten £1 bands from a £1.50 pack of bands.0

anyone buying a loom band bracelet for £1 is being ripped off - in the playground (if they haven't been banned yet) the going rate is between 20p and 50p per bracelet round here

About £60 including the official rainbow loom kit; storage box, charms, beads, clips and every conceivable array of bands you can get. My daughter has made so many my DH bought a tube home from work which she's put her bracelets on and we call it the totem pole of loom.
The range sell bags of 300 for £1 and scented 600 for £1.50.0 -
Just catching up on this! We have a bracelet totem pole too, made out of a kitchen roll tube

I'm glad to see the children of today having a craze - my childhood was packed full of them (scoobies, Pokemon (and the others) cards, yoyos), it's the things memories are made of!!0

Just come across this thread.
I am very very old.
when I was much younger I had an old cotton reel with 4 nails stuck in it, some wool and a crochet hook. I think it was called French knitting.
This is not the same sort of thing with elastic bands is it?0 -
My aunt in America sent the kit over for DD before the craze really kicked off here- she is abit to young to make them, I made her a couple but never really got into it myself (lack of time)
So £0 spent here and the stuff is just sitting in a box upstairs. Maybe I should make another effort since it's the school hols now.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
