WHOOP! Payrise confirmed - I'll report back with details and implications next week - I am off work this weekend and I am now going home and heading out for a nice (cheap) meal with some friends!

Morning! Still lovely weather out there - Was a bit too lovely yesterday and I am sporting a fetching shade of sunburn on my chest today!


Ok, so just to log the details of my payrise.....

• I will be about £24 a week better off
• I will no longer be eligible for paid overtime - but additional hours worked will be taken in lieu. Sounds a bit harsh I know, but I think that it is fab as I can use the time when it suits me and I can take time off without using any of my annual leave!

So, I have a plan! I bet you were waiting for that weren't you? I am going to direct £10 a week of my payrise into the 'repay OH early fund' - meaning I will be setting aside £20 a week. Leaving me a little extra and hopefully knocking a total of 4 weeks off my DFD! I will be adding to this fund with any cashback (including O.Poll surveys) that is paid out so hoping to be free in September instead of October!


Got to love a good plan!! Now all I have to do is make this one stick!!

Hello everybody-peeps!


A lovely sunny start to Friday here - storms are definitely threatening though and it is rather humid and sticky!


Have been online, checked my money and moved some around. CC bill paid and money moved to my "repay OH early fund!". That balance is now at £61.90, so getting closer to being able to pay a £100 back to OH early - reducing my end date by 1 week!


Between O.Poll and Q.co I have about £110 to come to me, so that is another week on its own!


Trip to London at the end of the month has grown in expense... OH needs to go back to London for a check up after his op, so we have managed to get that for the Friday - meaning we needed another nights accommodation! The flip side though is that is does save us a second batch of train tickets. But it also means an extra meal out, breakfast etc. Oh well, it's only money! (flippant? Moi? lol)


4 additional items listed on fleabay this week - nothing sold since the 1st of the month though :O( In addition, 5 items relisted last night. I need to take a more chilled approach I think. Tell myself that if they weren't on there, then they definitely would not sell!


Working tomorrow (usual Saturday in) with nothing planned for the afternoon, although I really do need to attack the magnolia bush is the front garden - it is HUGE!! Oh, and I need to dye my hair! Sunday we have a BBQ to go to, we are hoping for nice weather!


I think that is all I have to write for now. Keep burying the knowledge that in a maximum of 20 weeks I will have 'spare' money. Little 'plans' keep popping into my head on what to do with it - if I am not careful I will have budgeted it all away before I even have it! Lets get the next 20 (max) weeks out the way first!!

19 weeks to go.... only 19 weeks to go!! Whoop whoop!


Just need to keep focussed and ensure it happens. Have been looking ahead in my spreadsheet and where I have not 're-borrowed' any money from OH, I have been covering my share of the CC in full and it looks like there is a bit of a pinch coming up in August / September. At least I know it's coming and I have some money due my way at the end of July / early August for house-sitting (somewhere between £120 and £180.) Was hoping to use this to re-pay OH early but if needs must, it is going to be used elsewhere to keeps the books balanced!


1 new item listed on fleabay this week - would have been 2 but the second has gone "missing" in the house (both items were together one evening and one had vanished by the next!!)


3 items re-listed last night - I have amended these to include the best-offer option to hopefully attract a bit more attention and get them gone! 2 Auction items end on Sunday - one has a bid and a watcher, the other has 2 watchers so I am hopeful! (as long as I end up with more than I would have at the bootfair, I am happy).


O.Poll is sooo slow at the moment - I have updated my signature to show my current balance. Can't wait for the £40 mark to be reached!
Nothing new on Q.co either!




OOOH! Phone just went "ker-ching" and the item I listed this week has sold on BIN! A nice £15.11 after all deductions! Will package and post on Monday - hopefully with both the auction items! Must try and locate the missing item as that will hopefully return the same sort of money!


Got to do some work now. Fingers-crossed for more sales over the weekend, along with an abundance of sunshine and chilled white wine! Have a good one everyone! xxx

Morning All!


Only one out of the 2 auction items sold on Fleabay. Strange as the one that didn't sell had 5 watchers... thought one of them might have grabbed a bargain! Oh well, there's a few more pennies in the pot (£4.66 to be precise!). So that's me off to the post office with 2 parcels at lunchtime! Still can't find the missing item to be fleabayed! I really cannot understand where it has gone! ??

Oooh, another item just sold!! £5.70 cleared on this one - off to the Post Office I go again tomorrow. It is strange that things sell in flurries - it is definitely a case of all or nothing! x
