When it was first started the template wasn't to difficult due to it being only 4 letters.
Then they started doing half letters half numbers so the template was changed.
Last time they mixed letters with numbers,think they're trying to stop us.
Mind you last couple of times it wasn't cracked but leaked from someone working at the newspaper.
It didn't happen till just after Midnight,but 18 mins after booking office opened.
Could be another long wait,but personally I booked a week School Summer Holidays for 2 chalets in Butlins,Bognor so was worth the wait.

If I were the Sun and I were feeling particularly awkward, I'd be printing each edition of the Sun on Sunday with a unique serial number, as they did for various competitions in the past.

That way everyone would have to buy at least one paper and there'd be no booking before the papers actually go on sale.

But that would spoil our fun wouldnt it. I think the Sun newspaper know we are here and that we try and code crack, its all part of the fun. cat and mouse and all that. And no harm done is there x

They could do what the Mirror does and make every codeword individual. But we give them good publicity and unlike their Sun Holiday Facebook page always reply to questions and swiftly

found this from April thread, but spreadsheet was altered for 8 code words, it's easy to alter back to 10 code words I hope, so if anyone wants to try ??? I try A and B plates
From last year's thread: Instructions:

You fill in the details in the green cells, with your priority reference, the remaining code words, and your email address.

Then you have to select what words you want to check, we will no doubt be allocating people blocks of code words to check, so you change the "start at line" number to the number that corresponds to the start of the words you want to check which you get from the list of words and lines to the right.

Then you press the start button and it should open an Internet Explorer window and start checking through the words from the point which you set. If it comes across the correct word then will go through to booking and I think the spread sheet will say something like The word may be FROG (for example).

You will have to allow macro's to run in excel for the checker to work, this can be found in the menu under Tools>Options>Security>Macro Security and set it to Low
In Excel 2007 you have to go into Options>Trust Centre>trust centre settigs>Macro Settings and Enable all macros

Hopefully more people will volunteer and we can split this up more.
