You might have a lot of problems with the drivers on newer Windows server and desktop operating systems - I know I did!

Mine's a 4100 and I've not yet had a problem with drivers, including Windows 8.1.

    Still :spam: though isn't it?

Edit: while I'm not completely convinced I have withdrawn my marking of bjo's post as spam.

The worst thing about these forums is the speed at which someone always jumps in with the accusation of Spam whenever someone recommends something.
I think it's a basic ignorance of what Spam actually is.

No duplex: you'd need an HP4000DN to do that (not sure if they ever made them).

Yep they made them and you should have no problems with any decent OS, they should have the drivers built in for that model.

Other models to check out are 4300 (not the 4250 or 4350 though) and the P3005, both well used models in the business world, easy to fix, run for ages and the consumables are cheap if you buy compats.

I wouldn't by anything buy a HP if you want a laser, parts can be limited and consumables cost more.

I think it's a basic ignorance of what Spam actually is.

But at no point has the OP or anyone else in this thread asked where to buy a printer, the entire discussion has been on what to buy, and then bjo jumps in from nowhere to recommend a seller. If he'd said something like "a good place to get x printer is y" then it might have made some sense, but as it is it just looks like he's pushing a company that I for one have never heard of.

But if you're both convinced of his innocence then I'll withdraw my marking the post as spam. Although I don't think any of us who have been posting on here for years need a lecture on the nature of spam from a relative newcomer.
