I've done Cancun twice now for just a week, and I'm going back for the second time this year at Christmas, again for a week.

Mind you, I don't get much jet lag, when my sister lived in Canada I used to go there for a long weekend!

I stayed in the Riu Cancun Hotel
3 yrs ago and would recommend this Hotel. We booked it with Portland Holidays we stayed for 2 weeks but it would be alright for 1 week.
If you would like to know anything else about the Riu Cancun please just ask.

Thanks for the input everyone! I booked 10 days in July 08 with Portland AI at the Riu for £1670. Shopped around a lot but couldn't get a lower price than that.

Hope the 10 days fly by, I prefer city breaks and both hubby & I are ready to come home after 5 days of a 1 week holiday, but we just wanted something different for his big birthday. Anyway thankyou for the info. everyone!

That's where we are booked for Christmas. I don't think it will be exactly my cuo of tea, we usually stay at a private hotel near Tulum where there are only 22 suites but thought it would be too quiet for the teenage children, hence Cancun!

Am saving all my money for the shopping
