Thursday 3rd July - What Small DFW Things Will You Do Today?

When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big "stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending. :money:

Thanks for starting Mooomin, and fab news about the house JoJo :j
DNMS - Car was FREE!! :j:beer: It was a problem with the front exhaust, which they only changed a few weeks ago, so they've sorted it and didn't charge. So relieved and my car isn't making that awful sound anymore. Hooray! It should mean I don't spend anything on my credit card for the first time in months.
Today:
- All meals from stores
- Work on dreaded dissertation. I have set myself the deadline of 31st August (real deadline 30th September). Worked out I need to write 125 words a day to get it finished by end of August, so if I write more per day I'll get it finished earlier.
- NSD
- Free postcode lottery and surveys to check
- Banks to check
- Taking poochy for a nice big walk after work tonight

Hello all!
Moomin you are not alone - just asked my colleague if she can give me a lift to work tomorrow and she thought it was very strange that I was wanting a lift on "Saturday". She was so disappointed, bless.
This morning I sat and stared at the "debts" page on my spreadsheet for some time. I can't make the numbers change by the power of thought but it does help me focus and imagine how good it will feel when I see the numbers reducing each month.
I am at work and have brought a packed lunch with me. Breakfast was at home and we are doing very well with meal planning - smoked mackerel with rice and peas tonight.
I am off to @ldi after work with a list we carefully complied after looking through the cupboards, fridge and freezer and making a meal plan.
OH wants to take the car to the tyre place tomorrow as we had a warning on them in February when it had it's MOT. Also had a warning on the brakes which have since been fixed. Hope it won't be too expensive but I'm sure it won't be free - that was so lucky princess_pea - I hate taking the car in as it's usually extortionate!
Hope you all have a good day x0
