Thursday 3rd July - What Small DFW Things Will You Do Today?
Comments
-
Afternoon Campers,
Moomin - Had to smile at you thinking it was Friday. The worst thing I did on those lines while I was working was wake up, have a long luxurious stretch & think 'I bloody love Saturdays!' then realised it was Monday. Aaaagh!!!
Today's things that will save me pence:
*Strained & bottled home-made comfrey liquid plant food. Hacked comfrey plants back again & made some more. Stinky job but free plant food!
*Watered & fed veggies.
*Free fitness today was starting work on cutting back a big overgrown flower border. Filled a wheelbarrow of stuff for the compost bins already & only 1/3 of the way through!
*Finalise next week's meal plans.
*Write shopping list as mr f is off tomorrow & has volunteered to get the shopping so we can have a chore-free weekend :-)
*Dinner as per meal plans - rajma bean curry which I batch cooked & froze the other week. One of my most economical recipes & healthy too.
*Did some surveys, including a long Toluna survey which they're trialling & it's for 10,000 points, so if anyone does Toluna & wants a points boost, could be worth a look.
*Definitely going to have some me-time today, probably reading, whatever it is certainly wont be costing me any money.
*Carry on knitting jumper for present box.
And that will have to do!
Cheers,
f x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
[STRIKE]Banking
Update YNAB[/STRIKE]
Take first bit of money out to pay the decorator
[STRIKE]Buy the Sun - there's apparently a voucher for £5 of free fruit and veg in it :money: I need to check if it's valid in Scotland though...
Packed lunch
Walk four miles[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Buy something quick and easy for dinner because the house is a mess and the freezer only has things I can use for "proper" meals.[/STRIKE] remembered I had pasta sauce in the freezer, so pennies saved there
Defrost mince to make chilli tomorrow in the slow cooker
I ended up buying 3 copies of the Sun as the voucher for Scotland was £5 off a £10 spend on meat which means I'll get £30 of meat for £16.20 (including the paper cost) which will feed us for a month I think

Hi lpp dgd is living with us at the moment. dd isn't well and hasn't been coping for some time. Not sure what is happening at the moment, technically we're fostering her as it's not safe for her to go back until my dd addresses her issues. It's a difficult situation
I'd prefer a CM as it is about £20 per day cheaper and she will get 121 care. I've found one who I am visiting next Monday but ideally need to have a few to meetDF as at 30/12/16
