Incorrect. There's a 55 plate BMW 3 Series touring in dark silver local to here, which has blue lights in the tinted rear window, clear lensed (almost invisible from a few metres away) blue/red LED lights on the door mirrors and behind the grille, and a couple of cameras in the rear bumper cunningly hidden by a 'GB' sticker with parts of the black GB text cut away to disguise the holes.

I know it is real, as I have knelt six inches away from the bumpers and examined it whilst its occupants spoke to a Megane Scenic's owner in a car park for having no insurance, VED or MOT.

These hi-viz jackets are fairly popular with some bikers:-

Particularly those who ride in the city and are sick to death of incompetent driving endangering them on a daily basis and/or have had a pretty nasty crash where some idiot has taken them out and they now want to do all they can to makes take a bit more care around them. There's also a number of bikers who have ex-cop white BMW bikes, some covered in lots of stripy hazard stickers too. Though some do blood running in their spare time.

Did he have a helmet cam? Keep an eye out on YouTube, you might be the star of his next 'look what idiot I saw today' video. He may have thought you were on your phone of something.

Or, it could have been a cop being a spot lenient, especially once he's seen you weren't on the phone...

    Thanks for the replies, everyone.

I'm starting to believe that it's nothing to worry about, as he didn't pull me or issue me a ticket so therefore I have no fine.

I think you can breathe easily that on the balance of probabilities, it wasn't a policeman.

It was probably a hitman. And that wasn't a truncheon in his pocket :p

It was a black bike and he definitely had a yellow, fluorescent jacket on and I noticed he had the little blue and white squares like the coppers' typical clothing on the bottom of his jacket. White helmet I think.

I'm fairly certain he was a policeman.

so was it a sort of double bluff, he is an undercover cop but dresses like a cop:rotfl:
    I  MOJACAR

Maybe he thought you were in an unmarked police car and slowed down because he was speeding when he saw you, checked you out and decided you weren't in an unmarked police car so sped off.

Yeah, I'm starting to believe that nothing will happen. If I was gonna get done for something, we would have don me there and then, right?

I don't think he had a helmet cam, it was just a white helmet. He definitely caught up to me because of my speeding (I don't he would have chased me to see if I was on a phone)... followed me, keeping very close to the back of my car, for a minute or so and then left me alone.
