try using a 13 character ascii, then generate, which will generate 26 hex.
or just copy and paste one of my examplesEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
all your examples produced the following error message
ERROR: FAIL TO UPDATE DUE TO... The value WEP key is wrong
Is it suppose to be this difficult? Thank you for your help with thisHelp me to help you :santa2:0 -

Keep trying Google '13 character ascii generate 26 hex' but not sure what I'm looking for
Post 18 was on the router via internet explorerHelp me to help you :santa2:0 -
It must be either due to the length or the format.
if you are using the screen on post 18, it is either expecting
13 ascii e.g. abcdefzo$12dF or 2cookiecruble or any 13 characters you can type.
or
26 hex .. see my earlier examples, one of those should work.
alternatively, use the generator you were using, put in length 13, type in a 13 character password, calculate custom key, it will generate 26 hex, copy and paste that.
EDIT correction.. when putting it in the router in hex, you have to put 0x at the beginning to tell it you are talking hex, not ascii
so
0xD721BB2F2C8A70CA50A5BAA03D
should work on the router
windows doesn't need the 0x at the beginning (I think .. never use wep/hex, it's too much hassle, wpa/ascii is easier and more secure).
