It seems we got in just in time, despite us having a delay of around 4 weeks at the end of June. If I had to do this again... I probably wouldn't choose PO/BoI again.
Good luck everyone.. Keep the faith!
Do you happen to know what date the underwriters received your valuation? We first submitted our application on 26th June and valuation went to underwriters on 11th July...0 -

Your timeline is very much like ours..
Ours didn't go to the underwriters until a little time after. They officially gave us the offer on the 22nd.
Our valuation was done on the 8th.
I'd chase them up if you haven't heard anything. Have you gone through a broker? We went direct.Geek by Nature.. Geek by Profession!

We went direct too. We submitted the application just as they put the warning about the high volume of applications on the website, so perhaps you were just lucky and got in there just in time! We last rang them on Thursday and were told to call back if we haven't heard anything in 24-48 working hours, so I guess we'll be calling them again this afternoon...groan...0 -
Hi all
I am a FTb applied for 3.79 per cent fixed rate for 5 years with 85per cent ltv ratio on Monday 4th August, I have read all the posts and want your advise on when you think I could have a full mortgage approval back by based on the current delays?
I had a missed call from PO on Saturday and when I returned the call they said there was nothing on their notes, any idea what the call could have been about or who from?
Any advice would be much appreciated.0 -

Hi RK141,
The call could be about anything. Advising you of the backlog.. anything really.
Based on their current standings with other people posting on here, I wouldn't expect the offer until around Mid-Late September.Geek by Nature.. Geek by Profession!

Please note we are currently experiencing high volumes of applications. We will contact you regarding any referred Approvals in Principle/referred full applications with our lending decision within 3 working days.
Once we have accepted a full application and you have paid any required valuation fees, your case will be allocated to an underwriter - we are reviewing applications received on 25th July 2014. The underwriter will then contact you to request any further information we need to process your application. Please note we are currently working on post received on 17th July 2014.
We are working hard to process cases as quickly as possible. We will send you updates at key stages as we process your application via text message. Thank you for your patience.
Unfortunately our online application system is currently experiencing some issues. We are working to resolve these as soon as we can, but in the meantime please call us on 0800 707 6206* to discuss your application with one of our mortgage specialists.
Our lines are open 8.30am – 7.30pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am – 1.30pm Saturday.Geek by Nature.. Geek by Profession!

There's no point phoning these people-they're just a call centre and can't tell us anything other than the fact that our application STILL HASN'T BEEN LOOKED AT! They received the valuation on 11th July, yet their website says they're working off the 17th. We need our offer by Thursday at the latest to meet our completion date. It's now been 6.5 weeks since we first applied...
