Have some customers actually already started using these? I first heard about them months ago but i got nothing. I have now had an email from them and have to decide. I have read all the FAQ's but am still not sure which to go for. I do most of my transactions on a laptop as I want a full size screen but do also have the mobile app. for occasional use.
Would welcome any feedback before I decide.

Can the app code generator be used on a rooted phone?0

My Android is rooted. No problems.0

I went for the physical one, purely because I mess about with my phone, installing different ROMs on it, and it was getting a bit annoying having to call them up every time to reinstall the app and key

Ahh so you can only link it up to one phone..
I went with physical one too and yeah i tend to install different roms so this is best option for me.0 -
I switched from electronic to physical for the same reasons as billbennett0

Thanks as that confirms what I suspected. The physical sounds a better option. Had considered doing without a key until I read that I would not be able to make payments to credit card providers without one (even though I had already set them up).0

Since when has that been the case? I haven't got one yet but there's no mention of that in the bumph. It says you can't set up new payment destinations. Why would there be a restriction on making certain types of payment but not others?0 -
You need the key for new payees only, secure messages, opening a new account online, ordering cheques etc."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Says it in the email which FD sent me earlier this week. States that I would be able to send to destinations already set up but then adds that some recipients including credit card companies will be excluded from this.0
