Been busy. Made a lot of money on Alibaba float and subsequent 'collapse' but if I closed all my current open bets I'd be down about 1k! And I've had to put a lot more in to make sure that I don't go 'bust' than I wanted to. But I'm safe and I still have plenty of spare cash.

Currently my problem is that I have money on Alibaba to go up but those bets were made a while ago and it's not been looking good recently.

Other than that I'm just making £10-20 here and there trading up and down on a few shares that have a bit of movement each day.

This all sounds like a train wreck in the making, I hope you don't flush the £50K because that would be a disaster and is a sum that could make a huge difference if invested properly.

Right, I don't have any open bets on Alibaba on my IG account, only bets on LSE stocks.

Break down of my IG account:
Total cash put in: 4000
Total withdrawn: 3707
Current Funds: 4126
Open bets: -726.19

So that's pretty good.

Can't do my ETX account as Alibaba still trading. But todays Alibaba price rally has helped a lot. I think it means I'm up overall again as I made some cash from it on IG earlier and my open bets on ETX don't look as bad!

Things continue to be a problem on etx with my money on Alibaba and I can't be bothered to work out exactly how much I'm down.

But IG continue to be nice and I can now report:
Total cash put in: 4000
Total cash withdrawn: 4911
Current funds: 4000
Open bets: -246

Just need old Alibaba to go back up to make my etx account look similar!

Yes! Bit more than that now as made another £52 on IG today (although open bets now stand at -275). But if Alibaba does not recover I'm a bit screwed on my ETX account. I have enough money in there to cover a big price drop but currently that's money sitting there doing nothing but costing me fees every day.

Just closed a small DFB on ETX that made me a massive £1.60. Might just cover my fees for my open negative bets for the day!
