Last year I won a years supply of James Wellbeloved dog food. I would never have bought it before because I thought it was a bit pricey (my budget is around £35 per bag, its usually at least £45), but my dogs love it and do so well on it, that when my last bag runs out I'll start buying it :)
I just enter and forget...hoping to win something! :)

I won some Origins skincare products from a Debenhams comp last year and the moisturiser is just wonderful. I'm definitely going to buy more once I've finished what I have. It's one of those products where it is too expensive for me to buy just to try it but not so expensive that I can't keep using it now I know how great it is.

I have "liked" a few authors on Facebook as a requirement of entering a competition to do with them... never ended up winning the big prizes (I recall one was a Tiffany shopping spree!!!) but have discovered some great authors and am working my way through their back catalogues!

I've found loads of independent, crafty type businesses that I probably wouldn't have found otherwise and have/plan to purchase from them. Baxter & Snow, Archipelago & Haggiz are a few examples
