No, not a problem with the nozzle, every garage, every nozzle, and no amount of angling, putting in, not putting it in, putting it in upside down doesn't help. From what I've read online it's a fuel tank problem, ranging from the fuel tank being at the end of its life to blocked vents or tube problems.

I bought the car in reportedly excellent condition and would therefore expect the heated windscreen to be working.

The knocking is my main concern and they have supposedly already 'fixed' this.

Agreed that the seat and number plate are niggles but surely the integrity of the seat is a safety aspect and the number plate is really just testament to their workmanship as they put this on (it has their dealership name on it). I only bought the car very recently and not at a bargain price so I don't believe I should have to be sorting out their bad work.

4k was a steep price but not so far out, the list price for the car is £3641 from a dealer as it's the Ghia model and cosmetically very good condition. The premium I paid I believed was worthwhile to ensure 'the best aftercare in town' hmmm.

Just fill up the tank slower - my last car did the same and it seems quite common. I think you'd have trouble proving that was a fault - a fuel tank doesn't wear out, and any breather systems are closed-loop so wouldn't affect fuelling.
