doyouspain/Hertz car rental and cancellation policy

Good Morning,
I'm really hoping i can get some help here. I was booking some car rentals for my dad last week as he is flying out this week to Spain. i noticed the prices had dropped and decided to compare the prices against the car rental that i had booked for myself in Mid-July. I could get the same car for 100euros cheaper. Virtually on ever page on doyouspain it advertises that there is free cancellations so decided to take the plunge and cancel the rental with Hertz - and re-book with Atesa. I then get an email to say the booking has been cancelled and no refund is available on this policy!!! I frantically look into how i can contact doyouspain but there are no numbers and very limited options to contact them. Anyway i did manage to contact them and they replied that in the terms and conditions with this one policy there is no refunds after 7 days from booking it (and i had booked in May) and unfortunately i had overseen this. I then asked if the booking can be re-instated , even if i have to pay an admin fee as i would rather pay a little extra than loose £300 on this rental. All i have back is that it is too late as once it's cancelled on the system then thats it.
I'm just hoping that other than saying it can't be done that someone could at least try to activate this booking again. The money has been paid and we are talking a period of only 48 hours now - surely the car that was assigned to me hasn't been booked already. This has been cancelled in error and i just don't want to lose £300 like this. And as i mentioned i am willing to pay for any admin fees to get it back.
Any advise would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks
Mark
