Maybe you could find out what secret backdoor MBNA have into your systems then because myself and my partner recently started getting bombarded with unsolicited "offers" from them (having never used their service), we put in a written complaint asking them where they got our details from, and they told us they bought the information from Experian.

The data won't be sourced from credit reference files (probably illegal to do so). Rather, it will be sourced from one or more of the many databases maintained by Experian and containing a wealth of personal information on most of the population. It's prying and snooping on a grand scale. I sometimes wonder what a subject access request to Experian would throw up.
