Call Credit Sell Addresses

Call credit aka Noodle sell addresses! Be aware of this if you register with them. I was getting junk mail from capital one. I rang them up to ask them to stop sending me mail. The man I spoke to advised me that they had been given my address by Call Credit. My only dealing with Call Credit is registering for a free Noodle account. Please be aware of this before you register with this company. Unfortunately I have not had the chance to ring Call Credit to arrange for all my details to be removed from mailing lists, I will be doing so soon. Call Credit's geographical number is 0113 244 1555
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

All the CRAs sell data as far as I am aware.
But it's not as a result of you signing up for Noddle. You were already on their files.0 -
Long long time since I signed up to Noddle, but think I recall some tick boxs on one of the signup screens that asked if they could pass my details to selected companies who may want to send me information about offers and product through the post or via email.
But regardless, privacy policy says that:

All the CRA's do, you don't have to sign up with them. Top tip is opt out of electoral roll, guessing you didn't.0

Hi Datlex,
I can confirm that Experian does not sell details for marketing when you sign up for CreditExpert or when you apply for a statutory report.
Kind Regards

I have not had any junk mail since signing up with them or the others.
I would strongly disagree with the opting out of being on the electoral roll unless you mean tick the opt out section of the electoral roll which prevents them selling your address onI love green dots :T I hate red dots :mad:0 -

So are you saying that you sell them when we don't buy credit reports? Gotcha.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

I certainly wouldn't opt out of being on the electoral roll- I requested not to be on the edited register and ensure I re-tick this each reconfirmation.
I usually tick or untick as appropriate to the relevant company the right to sell on my details.
Fermi,
thanks for your interesting post- it seems regardless of whether you consent or not Call Credit sell on details, this make explain why it claims to be free.
Thanks also to the Experian representative for confirming they do not sell on details.
I have contacted Call Credit now by phone firstly and then at the email address they provided and instructed them accordingly.
Before anyone suggests it I have also registered with the MPS.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. To add to Neil's post earlier, we do not make your personal credit report information available to firms to target marketing offers, whether you apply for your credit report or not. I think you'll find the deal with Noddle is that you get free report access in return for agreeing for them to share your name and address etc for marketing.
